The RFDS celebrates 80 years of saving lives.

In 2008, we celebrate not only Rev. John Flynn’s dream but the incredible technological advances in medicine, aviation and communication which have allowed the Flying Doctor to bring the Bush and coastal cities closer.

We also celebrate the spirit of Australians whose courage continues to inspire the RFDS to provide excellence in aero-medical and primary health care across Australia.

The success of this crucial service is due, in no small part, to the fact that the RFDS has the recognition, co-operation and support of the Police, Ambulance Service, Hospitals and of course, the community which it serves.

Although we receive some government funding, we must also rely on the generosity of corporations, organisations and individuals to help us replace our aircraft and purchase medical supplies and vital life-saving equipment.

We'd like to sincerely thank all the businesses, organisations and individuals who tirelessly support our fundraising efforts.
