About Us

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (Western Operations) provides quality aerial medical and associated health services to advance the health of people in remote areas.  We provide emergency evacuations, inter hospital transfers, remote medical consultations and primary health clinics to people located or travelling in remote and rural areas of the State.

We operate from five bases throughout Western Australia - located at Derby, Port Hedland, Meekatharra, Kalgoorlie and Jandakot. An operational contingent of staff comprising 3 doctors, 5 nurses and 5 pilots is stationed at each Base to respond to the needs of patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
