Lifeport Stretchers & Loading System

Our installation of the Lifeport stretcher system includes two PLUS (Patient Loading Utility System) units in a tandem configuration on the starboard side of the aircraft, two Lifeport stretchers, a Serviplex unit mounted high on the starboard wall and a modified load ramp and clipdeck.

The Lifeport system is manufactured in the United States and provides a means of reasonably easily converting aircraft to aeromedical duties.  We have three KingAir B200SE permanently fitted with the system. The PLUS units are fixed to the floor seating tracks and contain a medical oxygen bottle, regulators, oxygen and suction outlets as well as an inverter providing AC power.

A load ramp attaches to the track on the top of the PLUS units and extends out the aircraft door.  Lifeport stretchers are compact and slide on "feet" up the load ramp, around the corner and onto the top of the PLUS unit, where they can be manoeuvred into place until locking pins engage.

Lifeport stretcher slide "feet" and Lifeport load ramp connected to a PLUS unit in a B200 KingAir.
