Huntleigh Fetal Doppler

The Huntleigh Fetal Dopplex is an ultrasound device used in the management of pregnant patients.

Approximately 10% of all RFDS transfers are for women with complications of pregnancy.  A fetal doppler enables clinical staff to monitor the fetal heart rate during transport to determine the wellbeing of the unborn infant.

This device can be used in a noisy environment such as an aircraft in flight. A digital display also shows the heart rate being measured.

Features of the FD1 model include:

  • Fixed 2MHz waterproof probe as standard
  • LCD display of fetal heart rate, heartbeat indicator and battery condition
  • Auto shut-off to conserve battery life
  • Headphone output (can be connected to aircraft crew headset)
  • Long robust coiled cable enables optimum probe positioning in all circumstances
  • There is on unit as standard on each aeromedical aircraft.
